"It is time for progressives, in this country to stand up and demand a genuinely democratic process"

As Sanders Skewers DNC, Would-Be Home for Progressives Assailed as 'Dead Carcass'
In post-debate interview, Bernie Sanders accused the national party of 'protecting' frontrunner Hillary Clinton

After Saturday's debate drew the lowest TV ratings so far this primary season, the Democratic National Committee (DNC) is under fire—yet again—for setting a schedule that rival candidates say was designed deliberately to "protect" frontrunner Hillary Clinton.

According to Nielsen data out on Sunday, roughly 6.71 million viewers tuned in to the third 2016 Democratic debate, which aired during prime time the Saturday before Christmas. In comparison, the first and second Democratic debates drew 15.3 million and 8.5 million viewers, respectively, while the three most viewed Republican debates saw 25 million, 23 million, and 18 million viewers.

When asked following Saturday's match up if he thought the DNC scheduled the debate deliberately to minimize viewership, Sen. Bernie Sanders stated, "Yes, I do."

Who at the Sanders campaign knew what and when did they know it. Federal election tampering is huge. We need to fight for fair elections. Sanders has fired one person and suspended others. How deep does it go?

watch them.

All this crabbing about the DNC is just more of the Sanders campaign's victim mentality. Crabbing about air time when he gets as much cable news time as anyone. Thom Hartman, TYT and just about every other progressive talk host is in the bag for him.

In a few months the lying, bull shitting, innuendo, made up facts will end and we can begin the campaign to defeat the repubs.

REASON FOR ALERT

This post is disruptive, hurtful, rude, insensitive, over-the-top, or otherwise inappropriate.

ALERTER'S COMMENTS

A recent post about Hillary lying was blocked. This post Is at least as egregious.

You served on a randomly-selected Jury of DU members which reviewed this post. The review was completed at Tue Dec 22, 2015, 10:38 AM, and the Jury voted 3-4 to LEAVE IT.

Juror #1 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE

Juror #2 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: he is attacking bernie supporters
Juror #3 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: Character assassination with no facts.
Juror #4 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: Couldn't disagree more with the ideas expressed, but that's not a reason to hide. If a post accusing Hillary of lying was blocked, that was, IMO, the wrong call. Blocking this one won't fix that.
Juror #5 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: I disagree with the alerter, I actually like the post.
Juror #6 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE

Saturday before Christmas debate was transparently chosen to attract as few viewers as possible. The only worse choices would have been Christmas Eve/day, New Years Eve/day, and Super Bowl Sunday- and she probably considered them all before somebody reigned her in.

If you think you have a strong candidate with a solid winning platform, you don't worry about a rival. You schedule debates at times when people are likely to tune in. By limiting the public's exposure to Bernie, she is limiting the public's exposure to all of our candidates and allowing the Republican circus act to get a disproportionate share of the attention. She needs to go.
