Hillary Clinton Ties Economic Strength to National Security in New Ad

By NICK CORASANITIDEC. 22, 2015

Secure Video by Hillary Clinton for America

After Saturday’s Democratic debate focused largely on the threat from terrorism, Hillary Clinton released a new ad, titled “Secure,” highlighting her focus on protecting the homeland.

On Screen

Black-and-white images depict daily life — families around the breakfast table, a mother holding an infant, men and women heading off to work — as Mrs. Clinton reminds voters they are “not just electing a president, but a commander in chief.” Photos show her flanked by military officers, and descending alone from her Air Force jet as secretary of state, as she can be heard, as a candidate, emphasizing the need to be “both secure at home and leading the world.” Only when she is finally shown delivering the speech, at Mountain View College in Dallas in mid-November, does the black-and-white give way to full color.
The Message

The ad merges two central themes of Mrs. Clinton’s candidacy, economic issues and national security, while subtly warning against rivals with a more single-minded focus (read: Senator Bernie Sanders). After all, national security is a prerequisite to aiding the economy, “raising incomes” and expanding health care.

GOTV for Clinton to stop the republican war machine. Time to build off the success of Obama. Put Bush even further behind us. It's a great day to be a democrat.

A prosperous, healthy, well functioning America is a strong America.

Scuba, don't be afraid. She's not really advocating warring. She's just showing herself someone who can if needed. Women candidates have an unfair disadvantage that way and have to hit the commander-in-chief note strong enough to erase it, especially when terrorism's in the news.

But then I expect you know that as well as any of us.

Foreign Policy.

Hillary:

Currently voices a willingness to "Shoot Down" Russian planes flying in Syrian airspace .. IF given the opportunity... to ignite WW III

Voted FOR the invasion of Iraq... Purely a political move with the goal to demonstrate "toughness."

Failed to focus and objectively/thoughtfully manage the deteriorating circumstances in Benghazi leading to the loss of Ambassador Stevens and three others.

An astute and fully engaged manager would have acted aggressively in one fashion or another to either fortify and protect, or pull back personnel from the Libyan Embassy in a timely fashion in order to minimize potential risk and hazard to personnel.

These points represent a mere sampling of her record.

Integrity and Trust must be taken into consideration when considering a candidate for the title "Commander and Chief" first and foremost.

Will Hillary's Team shoot from the hip prior to having ALL of the facts on international issues? Are the events that took place several nights ago with regard to the DNC Data Breach an example of how Foreign Policy issues would be handled? The "Breach" now being walked back substantially by the statement from NGP VAN in attempting to "move on" before all of the facts from ALL parties are determined and disclosed to the voting public.

As Bernie would say and I agree, "NOT GOOD ENOUGH!"

War and Peace is NOT a game in a Nuclear World people. Especially where potential opponents also possess ICBM's equipped with MIRV Thermonuclear devices.

A mature, thoughtful and responsible Commander in Chief is what is required at this point in history.
