Clinton donors say Sanders is raising more than the front-runner - Politico

Hillary Clinton’s donors say they think Bernie Sanders will raise more money in the fourth quarter than their candidate for the first time ever – a testament to the underdog’s online cash juggernaut and harbinger of donor fatigue among the front-runner’s backers.

Clinton campaign officials said she remains on track to reach her goal of $100 million for the primary by the end of the year; she had already collected $77 million by the end of the third quarter.

But Sanders nearly matched Clinton in the last quarter – raising an eye-popping $26 million to Clinton’s $28 million – and multiple fundraising sources on Clinton’s team told POLITICO they expect him to beat her when the next financial disclosures are filed on Jan. 30, just before the Iowa Caucuses.

“People are feeling very complacent -- and more reluctant to contribute -- because they don't take Bernie Sanders that seriously," top Clinton donor Alan Patricof told POLITICO. "They look at the other side and think, how could anyone possibly back any one of them? The attitude of sensible people is that she's the only one who makes any sense.” None of the donors or campaign insiders POLITICO spoke with Monday disputed the notion that Sanders was on track to beat them in the end-of-year cash race.

she gets lost or does not have an answer... She uses it as a coping mechanism! People are beginning to see through the in-authenticity of Hillary and it is beginning to show up in a variety of places. I feel sorry for her... Oh just for a second...

Bernie is our only recourse and can be trusted both from a judgement perspective as well as competence.

I won't be able to afford to max out for Bernie, so he's likely to keep getting money from me at roughly the same rate.

His small donor base could keep on giving and keeping his campaign flush. Hillary's campaign believed that she would sink him in Iowa and New Hampshire. When she didn't, Her big donors were starting to maxed out and she could not match his grass roots fundraising power.

matches Clinton's $25 mil in a quarter.

And unlike Clinton donors, they can keep doing that all year without maxing out .. giving the campaign $50 over the year. That is a political movement.

Every day, I seem to like this campaign a little bit more.

People really don't notice how in depth it is. This is a part of the campaign itself.

The campaign made that sort of mistake in 2008. If the "sensible" people keep their blinders on, they very well may end up getting their butt beat. Again. Fine by me.

Keep up the arrogant attitudes and insults. Until he wins and you don't know what hit ya.
