Timing of this was political

The film was released last year, but the version with Arabic subtitles were relased on youtube on September 4, just as the Republicans started their attack on Obama's national security policies. It was picked up by an Egyptian TV show on Sept. 8, which in turn was put on youtube on September 9. In addition, an anti-Muslim Cleric in Egypt, Morris Sadek, linked to it from his website on September 9.

This was all clearly timed to all hit the fan around September 11 and the violence was perfectly predictable, though where it would arise in the Muslim world was not.

I'd like to know who did the translation and posted it to youtube and who alerted Sheikh Khaled Abdellah to its existence.
