Top Republican to back Hillary if ‘dangerous’ Trump wins nomination

A SENIOR Republican senator with strong foreign policy credentials has told aides on Capitol Hill that he will vote for Hillary Clinton if Donald Trump becomes his party’s presidential nominee.

The senator’s view is that elevation of the billionaire property magnate to the White House would be dangerous for the country. Fears for national security are provoking widespread panic among party elders, leading several top figures to vow quietly to vote for the Democrat.

With the vote starting in Iowa in just over five weeks, lifelong Republican voters are increasingly vowing not to participate in the general election if Trump is the nominee.

Funny, I read the same thing you did and I did not see a plural in "A SENIOR Republican senator"- other than the last paragraph above and it doesn't mention HRC at all.

those Republicans who've tried to tank her campaign for years, even going so far as to make-up Benghazi and all the bullshit that came with it, are suddenly going to vote for her because TRUMP. Ridiculous.

Reince Priebus TOLD Republicans to support Bernie.

And if it takes support away from Trump, it is a double win for Reince, who is freaking out over Trump winning the GOP nomination.

As your links show, Reince has good reason to be freaking out.

from the Rush Limbaugh crowd. Looks like now that Bernie's surge has flattened, they are trying to pawn off his supporters under the guise of "populist" rah rah instead of the dirty tricks they are.

They can't really afford to do this now, though, if they really want a clear front runner to emerge over tRump.

He said awhile ago that many GOPers he has talked to will vote Hillary over tRump. He is that embarrasing for many of them.

This is a great point to make. And, yes it is hilarious.
