Democratic Party and Sanders campaign share headquarters. Good for them.

Good to see liberal groups helping each other out!

ANDERSON — The presidential campaign of U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders is subleasing the Anderson County Democratic Party's headquarters on North Main Street in downtown Anderson.

The Sanders campaign began using the headquarters Friday and it will pay $500 per month for the space through the end of February, Anderson County Democratic Party Chairman Mike Kay said Monday.

...

"We are not endorsing their campaign but have simply entered into a mutually beneficial arrangement," Kay said in an email to county Democrats. "As you all know, we were running low on funds to keep the doors open at the headquarters and this buys us some time to rebuild our bank account."

According to Kay, the Anderson County Democratic Party will continue to hold its monthly meetings at the headquarters. It also will staff the headquarters from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesdays.

I suppose I could see something nefarious in this if I tried, but I'm happier assuming good intentions on the part of people who share the same priorities as me.

... and wondering where the outrage is.

Or, at the very least, a swarm of posts explaining to us how "it's different".

after expressing my consternation that the Clinton campaign headquarters is in the State Democratic Party headquarters in Anchorage, I want to make clear that I don't find these county or district sharings so egregious, but I do think having the Clinton headquarters in the STATE party headquarters is not right. Ideally, in my opinion none of this would be going on anywhere, whether the Sanders campaign or the Clinton campaign. The party should remain neutral until the candidate is finally determined.
