Bonus Quote of the Day

"All you need to know about the differences between the president and myself is that I'm sitting there smoking a cigarette, drinking Merlot, and I look across the table and here is the president of the United States drinking iced tea and chomping on Nicorette."

-- House Speaker John Boehner, quoted in The Price of Politics by Bob Woodward.

...Obama is the responsible adult and Boehner is the naughty boy. And note that I said "naughty boy" and not "the embodiment of evil itself," as I might with certain other Republicans.

and the President is sober and healthy, what's he getting at? I really didn't think he wanted it to sound like a compliment.

This will sound strange, but you know, I am somewhat thankful that Boehner is still around.
Imagine how the House would be if Cantor, Bachmann, Lamborn or Price were Speaker.
