Hillary Was Right: Trump Rant On Muslims Shows Up On New Terror Recruitment Video

http://www.addictinginfo.org/2016/01/01/hillary-was-right-trump-rant-on-muslims-shows-up-on-new-terror-recruitment-video/

After Hillary Clinton made the argument that Donald Trump’s hateful rants against Muslims were fueling Islamic terrorism recruitment during a recent debate, Republicans and the Fox News crowd last their minds accusing her of lying. “Where were these videos?” They demanded. A reporter just found one.

While ISIS’s campaign of terror in the Middle East gets most of the headlines, an equally horrific group is operating out of Africa. Al-Shabab, linked to al-Qaeda, has been responsible for a number of massacres, terror attacks, and other human rights atrocities, primarily in Somalia and Kenya. Recently, the group’s numbers and influence has dwindled after sustained opposition from a coalition of African governments. They are clearly desperate — so they are reportedly turning to the powerful recruitment tool known as Donald Trump.

Harun Maruf, a journalist working with Voice of America, has been closely following Al-Shabab and its recruitment strategies. On January 1, he came across a new video that features — you guessed it — Trump’s recent call for a “total Muslim ban.”

..... and her subsiquent characterization if it as a mistake are net positives for her. It shows she can and will make tough calls regarding national security, that in the face of uncertainty she is willing to err on the side of security, and that she is willing and capable of reassessing and adjusting to a situation as it unfolds.

These are the qualities many of us want in a commander in cheif.

http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Threadjack - " A form of amusement for trolls"

http://knowyourmeme.com/memes/threadjacking - "Threadjacking is a deliberate attempt at steering a discussion away from the original topic by bringing up another, usually more provoking and completely unrelated, topic. Depending on the context, threadjacking can be used as a timely diversion in the event of awkward discussions or, more commonly, as a form of cheap amusement through trolling."

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2015/11/25/1454154/-Threadjacking-101 - "It’s a form of trolling."

-----------------------------------------------

"A person who threadjacks" is one of the very first definitions of an internet troll from the time the term internet troll was first coined.

So again, the answer is, since the internet has existed, threadjacking has not been OK and has been a clear indication that someone is being a troll.

Describing a persons writing/arguments in any way has never been a problem on DU. Attacks on people themselves are the problem.

If your post exhibits trolling behavior, saying so is more than within the TOS. Calling someone's contention stupid has always been OK. Calling someone a troll or calling them stupid is different.

There is nothing hilarious about it if you actually understand the parts of speech.

Trump has generated loads of footage on the anti-Muslim theme alone. He's all over TV and he's generating libraries full of material for ISIS and other adversaries to use. LOADS of it. Clip after clip after clip, soundbite after soundbite after soundbite, and if you missed it, it'll repeat at the top of the next hour. ISIS is quite media-savvy. They'd have to be living around the clock with blinders on and earplugs in, and inside a capsule about 10,000 feet underwater NOT to see all the media attention Trump gets, or how often his offensive comments are replayed. No one can convince me there isn't a boatload of Trump video they're exploiting out there to recruit new ISIS followers and suicide bombers and other assorted terrorist wannabes. ISIS is a shrewd lot.

I take Trump and his followers at their word. They have no use for anyone who isn't Caucasian and preferably male. I don't trust him or them and I certainly will not seek to excuse his current words and actions based on something he said years ago. People can devolve as well, and he has done a stellar job of doing so.
