I work my ass off, sometimes 7 days a week running a business, and paying an insane amount of taxes.

Those folks exposed?

They don't pay squat, because they are "allowed" to cheat, and their biggest worry is trying to find a landing port for their yacht.

every time I used them the state would not get all of the forms like the critical one 502c--------------------went to a tax person this year.

ran the program just for the simple fact to see what would happen and the 502c form was missing again, two years in a row...................again

Turbo tax is not that good there was a lawsuit filed two years ago with the taxes being taken out by a business and he had paid twice into the states system, and because my wife works in another state, MD and DE , basically we or she was getting hit with two tax fees , just like was, and so now anyone working in these states or the surrounding area everyone has to amend there past returns, when one state should have been given the credit, have to amend the last three years to get the money back, there Turbotax program wasn't or hasn't been updated.

product the least they could do is make sure there programs are up to date.
The IRS and state and whoever else is involved don't like mistakes or they send the letter-------------I had to go back to turbotax last year and have a programmer get into the program to download the file, and I asked him -----------why wasn't this there when I sent this electronically, he didn't have answer ---------------------I then said does your for profit program want to pay the fines and penalty.

And then they have the disclaimer at the last page----------------saying that they will not be held accountable ---------really you wrote the program

Went through a line by line audit on the year of the sale of the family farm. It was horrible, he said he didn't need a lawyer, he was honest. Well, guess what, he had a major heart attack three days after the audit where after putting him thru the wringer and acting like he was a crook, they found out he owed 500 dollars. I have hated the IRS ever since. I pay my taxes, I'm as honest as I can be, but I am sure it will happen to me at some point.

In addition to prison time, we should have laws on our books that say, if you weasel out of paying taxes and/or ship jobs to other countries, you lose your citizenship. We have laws on the books concerning this kind of activity. If we had a justice department that had any guts it would charges these malefactors and try them and apply the sentences required by law, but remember it was about 5 years ago that we provided prosecutorial amnesty for those who had hidden funds abroad and none of them were punished. And NO, paying the taxes that you owe and should have paid in the first place is not punishment. But we have to remember, these are the rich and in America there is a different set of laws for them. Remember, the rich don't want some of the money, they don't want most of the money, they want all of the money. And if there were real justice in America all of their money would be confiscated from individuals and corporations and put in the national treasury. They owe us and there will be a time for payment. There will be a time for blood.

My god, we have a barely middle class income and you would think we're crooks because of what the IRS demands from the banks here (because we're Americans). If everyone pays back taxes, penalties, and any statutory punitive damages (if there are any), and - in cases which are slamdunks - plead guilty to either a misdemeanor, and in the worst cases, felony (plus jail time), that's how I think this should unfold.

But also, deal with the entities which facilitate this global tax evasion, as the US did with Swiss banks (ending, as many may recall, the infamous numbered Swiss bank accounts insofar as it involved American citizens).

It's a multifaceted problem needing really major reforms.
