Half the Sky - part 1 was on last night, did anyone see it?

I meant to but I was busy. And I meant to kick the earlier thread about it, too.

Poorly timed vacation.

Thought I'd share this from PBS:

Did you miss last night's first episode of Half The Sky: Turning Oppression Into Opportunity? For one week only you can watch the whole episode online at http://to.pbs.org/QJG1SV.

Part 2 airs tonight at 9/8c (check local listings for times near you).

Discussion of the film was a trending topic on Twitter. What did you think of it?

There were times I had to pause and go outside and just breathe for a minute.

But it's so worth it. The message is very important.

There are plenty of triggers. If you can make it through them, I do think it's worth it.

I can tape & watch a DVD, which is what I did last night. But I have not figured out if I can tape & watch another channel on TV. I don't think so. Tonight I want to watch the debate. However, in our area, the show was aired twice, so I may have a chance to tape the second showing.

It's just like "Miss Representation" when Oprah aired it on her channel - she only did two airings! Only two? I could not believe that!

who are so popular with viewers... or the 'we like sexism too, it's fun!' kind, who are so popular with those fond of using the 'but a woman said this, so it's not sexist!' fallacy ... hard to draw in viewers with this kinda stuff, ya know?
