These two nurses died essentially working themselves to death. Their dedication to preserving life was extreme.

2. I see Jane Delano was in New York. Does anyone know if she was related to Sarah Delano,

also from New York, who was FDR's mother?

...on either nurse. But I remember reading awhile ago that she was somehow related to that Delano family.

She could have come from wealth and enjoyed a very privileged and sheltered life. She chose to help other people.
