Hi, I'm Karen

While you may think that you've wandered into an AA meeting, you have not. Welcome to Help!

I've been at DU since 2001 - first lurking from my husband's account and finally getting brave enough to get my own account. Turns out... the people at DU don't bite.

You forgot "hard". We don't bite hard.

It's all in the training. We're not a dangerous breed, it's how we're treated.

If we had just picked more creative names... like Sparkly and Hub2Sparkly ... instead of tkmorris and kdmorris

As it is... everyone has to look at the first two letters to figure out who we are haha

I think we have the Ancestry Forum in common. I haven't spent much time there yet (just "stuck a toe in the water&quot , but plan to step it up soon when the index for the Maryland 1940 census gets done. I started looking for missing ancestors back in the 1980s, and still have some blank walls to clear up.

It's a lot nicer now than it used to be without computers though!
