Hello

Even though I'm a Democrat and voted straight Democrat the last three elections, I wouldn't categorize myself as liberal, but more of a non-conformist. I'm from the Ozarks of Arkansas and was born in the 1970s. I have one kid and another on the way.

I would call myself pro-science and technology because I'm not against GMOs, Nuclear Power or automizing the workforce. I'm not reflexively against fossil fuels, mainly because I can acknowledge that we can't stop using them today and have 100 percent solar tomorrow ... that and the industry is slowly dying in the market (look at coal). I'm pro-animal welfare and anti-child cruelty laws.

I'd also call myself a pragmatist and see winning political office as the primary reason the Democrats exist, not high-minded idealism. I think the Democrats are self defeating and focus too much on issues that won't help them regain ground (gun control being one of those) in 2018. I think if they don't emphasize on stopping the bleeding and regaining ground, then they will lose their viability as a national party before 2030.

That's kind of it in a quick nutshell.

So, hi.
