Why is my avatar a broken link?

It shows me having a "sun" when I look at the image in a new tab but whenever I post, there it is the broken link. A missing link, that I could understand and probably appropriate, but I'm not broken. Any thoughts on how to fix this would be appreciated.

When I review my posts avatar is missing
In fact, every post I make I can not see my avatar

We've had reports of this happening before and it seemed to be happening to uBlock users. Someone posted a possible fix here:

I don't mind seeing the broken link icon as long as nobody else is, it's all good
