(96,043 posts)The post may have been made before the deletion. Because it was distant in the thread, it would make sense to block-quote by cut and paste for immediate reference. There is a link to the post, so it most likely was up at the time the quote was posted.
It also seems obvious that the quote is not an endorsement of the view, but uses it to illustrate a point of view the poster opposes.

(96,043 posts)I went back and looked again. The thing reads 'reply to post removed'. That can't be done. I've lost posts when the one I was composing a reply to was removed before I finished. Go to post, and it says you can't, it's removed.
