So if I post inside a specific forum

and DU is supposedly a safe place...

should not people that disagree, just
keep scrolling. I mean, I posted in
a certain forum to avoid
specifically this kind of behavior.

Should I report it or just let some rude
poster have the last word.

I've been here since 2007.
Took a long break but am back.
Seems like a lot more rude behavior
than I remember. Kind of sad.

Use the lessons you learned in kindergarten.

DU is a great site for discussions about tons of stuff. Enjoy it but don't take your online experiences too seriously.

Peace.

you can put the rude person on ignore. The ignore feature makes the whole DU experience so much more pleasant.

Thanks.

I've been here since 07.
But have a new screen name
when I went through a divorce from
first husband.
Got my new name years ago,
but took a long break.

Is it just me or does it seems
like people are a little more nasty?
It's good to see you here.

10. If it's a nasty personal attack, you're justified in alerting. We want DU to be a safe place

And MIRT does get notices if it's a fairly new poster, that's what MIRT does, weeds out disruptors and Spammers. And if someone gets a post hidden that's a warning - and if someone gets 5, they can't post anymore.

11. I did that...

the thread got taken down.
I appealed and won...but the person's post is
still there.

Old news now. I'm good.
But I alerted on his comments, and they took my
thread down instead of dealing with him.
Like I said not that big of a deal now.
