This morning I am getting push notifications popping up on every page. Is there a way to turn this off?

(23,710 posts)We do send push notification requests... if you don't want to see them, hitting the button to decline should make them go away permanently.

(23,710 posts)I'll get back to you.
Edited to add: what is your browser?

(23,710 posts)I edited my post above to ask what browser you're using.

(23,710 posts)I'm not sure why this is happening -- the requests should stop coming after you dismiss one of them. But I found a potential solution for you online. Try this site, scroll down to the section for Microsoft Edge. You would want to add www.democraticunderground.com as one of the sites to block:

Please let me know if that helped (or not).

Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
