A few weeks ago I started using night mode. I haven't been seriously documenting this, but it seems my laptop battery lasts longer since I did that. I'm no electronic genius, but to me it's reasonable to think less power might be being used with the dark background. Any truth to that?

(85 posts)A quick search with the model number of your laptop ( on the label on underside )
will take you to an HP specs page that will tell you what they used.
