While the blank image pretty well sums up my 71-year-old personality, I'd like to spice it up a bit. I've got my avatar picked out; how do I add it to my posts? (I have learned how to turn my computer on and off but I don't know much beyond that.)

Scroll down to avatar.

Either pick one from those available or add your own by inserting the link. There is a limit on how big it can be if you decide to upload your own.

Thanks for the welcome. I've been kicking around our ball of dust for nearly 72 years and a member of DU for about 5% of that time. I read some posts every morning and post on rare occasions. Better to remain silent and be considered a fool than to open one's mouth and remove all doubt.
