Question for admins about election night and DU

Are you all doing DEFCON levels like in the past ? DEFCON 1 = only star members allowed ?

In past elections DU'ers have bought stars for many people, so they could share in the election night festivities. Hopefully we can do this again !

wouldn't that make such measures ineffective? Trolls could upgrade for only 1 cent hypothetically.

to at least stop those who won't go through the trouble of paying just to troll on election night.

Some might however, so perhaps DU could help dissuade them by setting a minimum amount to upgrade. Maybe $1?

10. On DU2, there was no minimum for a star membership

It is the same now. I think the admins have this covered.
