DU Community Help
Related: About this forumNew here. Hello.
I'm a North American Muslim, with link to the Maghreb.
I'm passionate by the american politic, and think that every body in the world should know more about the subject.
I always support the Democrat, and the progressive liberal.
I think that the problem in muslim countries is not Israel but the lack of democracy, openness, and liberty.
And my english writing is not so good. Sorry.
I'm reading DU since the year 2004.

(55,027 posts)Welcome to posting at DU. Where are you from originally?
But I don't know if it's safe to answer to your question, sorry.

(55,027 posts)I am sure it is fine. I hope you have an enjoyable and rewarding time posting here nonetheless.
I am new too. I just found the site by accident. I have been on a couple of other forums(sodahead and topix)but they were infested with hate filled republicans who had no clue what their party was doing to this Country.

(54,031 posts)If you are interested, we also have a Muslim/Islam group (http://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=forum&id=1224) and a "Middle East" group, but posts on North Africa are also welcomed, (http://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=forum&id=1114). Under the new format, one does not have to have a star membership to post in the those groups. Also, check out the "Forum and Groups" tab, there are all kinds of other neat groups, like "Pets," "photography," "TV chat," movies" and the list goes on.

(54,031 posts)Though, "intervention" isn't the best choice of words.
Out of curiosity, since I am very interested in languages (there is also a linguistics group), what languages do you speak/read/write? I obviously can see you are quite fluent in English. I would assume Arabic because of being from North Africa, but I also know there are numerous other languages spoken in the area. If you don't mind sharing.

(54,031 posts)I also know some French and Spanish (Italian and Portuguese and a few others), but didn't use them for many years, so my fluency is not very good. I am not familiar with the term "pask." Thanks for sharing. I can appreciate not sharing too much information. Share what you are comfortable sharing. Anyway, sorry for tying up your time. Hope you enjoy DU and don't forget to check out some of the other groups. They may be much slower, but they have some good conversations and articles.
