Am I the only one who doesn't have it?
Yeah - it is back.
Edit: It is gone again.

(32,595 posts)During the convention or first debate when it was turned off for greater DU it was turned off for MIRT as well. A MIRT member suggested to the admin that when they turn it off during busy times they still allow MIRT to use it. As you know it is nearly impossible to mirt without Advance Search. So, the admin took that advice and during busy times MIRT still had access.
Then yesterday the team was changed out and since then I have not had Advanced Search except for a few minutes yesterday evening and then it went away again. I have been trying to figure out if it is just a glitch for the departing MIRT members or if it is everyone but MIRT. I think it is everyone. I PMed skinner about an hour and a half ago but have not received a reply.
Are you all really that busy? After the first debate DU/MIRT was really busy with a swarm of new trolls. After the VP debate because Biden kicked ass we did not have that many trolls. After the last debate we had a lot of new posters sign up but not that many trolls.
I am still trying to figure out if they know it is turned off.

(26,117 posts)Thanks for that info!
I do also notice that the red edit history text is not currently displaying, either (which almost caused me to stick my foot in my mouth in a thread yesterday), so maybe the traffic is still high (or maybe Admins did forget!).
It hasn't been particularly busy in MIRT so far. I'm sure we'll have some crazy days in the upcoming weeks.
Nice to see you, too!
