I'm to the left of Obama on many issues but I'm very pleased he is our President. Obama and Biden are extremely competent leaders and I believe they represent the people of the USA very well.

The Bush/Cheney administration was a nightmare. The Republican Party which once supported many reasonable politicians and competent leaders has disintegrated. I think Romney and Ryan would be worse than Bush and Cheney were.

It's pretty wild around DU at election time, as you've certainly noticed. So long as you support the Democratic candidates and don't go hating people of other genders, sexual orientations, ethnic backgrounds, religions, etc., you'll have a lot of fun here and you'll find a wide range of political ideologies represented.
