Go to the Your Account page and click on Star Membership for all the answers.

If you don't want a Star, Adblock or NoScript keeps ads away without one.

No need to be aggravated.

I made a pretty substantial payment about a year ago, and thought I was supposed to get some kind of extra-lengthy credit for it . . . but I didn't keep any notes about it.

Maybe it's time to renew, but it would have been nice to get a notice or something.
