1. You need to upload the picture to a website such as Photobucket and then post from there to
your post

3. there are several ways.
As mentioned above, if you have an account with a service like photobucket, each image you put in there will have a link. You just need to copy and paste the link into your post. These accounts are free and easy to set up, so if you don't have one, you might want to open one.
You can also right click on many images and choose "copy image address", then paste the image address into your post. Most of these links end with .jpg, gif. or .png. It's always a good idea to preview your post when you are trying to add an image to make sure you have a good link. |

5. If you took it with a digital camera, upload it to your computer,
then upload to it one of the photo file sharing sites mentioned above.
Once the pic is uploaded, your online album should offer several different types of links for sharing the photos online. Select the type of link you want ('direct link', for example, offered by Photobucket), then paste it into the text field of the thread you want to post. As above, always preview the post first, to make sure you have a good link. It's also a good way to determine if you have excess code in your link. Welcome to DU! Hope to see pics of you soon. ![]() |

13. I have Photobucket on my phone, so I can upload pix on my phone straight to Photobucket there
My friend has her phone set so every pic she takes automatically uploads to Photobucket. I don't know how that works, but I don't necessarily want to, since not all come out as I'd like.

6. Use a image hosting site like imgur.com. Step by step instructions ->
Imgur.com is one of the easier image hosting sites. You don't even need an account to upload images. Start at this link:
http://imgur.com In the Upload images section click the Computer button. A dialog box should open to let you navigate to the image file location on your computer. After selecting it, a new section on the main imgur page should appear with a Start Upload button - click it. Once uploaded a new page should appear with the image on the left and a list of links on the right[sup]1[/sup]. For DU3 use the Direct Link - click the little page icon by the image address to copy it to your clipboard and then when you are composing your DU3 post hit Ctrl+V to paste the image address where you would like the image to appear. No special html tags are required - when the DU3 software sees a link to an image (.jpg, .gif, .png) it should automatically display that image in your post. The address that goes in your post should look something like this: http://i.imgur.com/k1sDT.jpg [sup]1[/sup] There is also a deletion link below all the other image links on the right hand side of the page - be sure to copy and save that if you might ever want to delete the image from their servers. |

11. I just think it's one of the funniest damn photos I've ever seen!
It makes me laugh, anew, every time I look at it. I have it on the large profile photo space on my Facebook page, too!
And when anybody asks or comments on it I just say - "well, haven't you wondered?" I've had cats as pets since I was nine years old. Now we have four of them - all rescues. And a dog. She's a rescue too. We've joked about kitty-loafs for a long time! They do look like meatloaves when they sit this way, don't they?! ![]() |
