Welcome to DU!

When I was in school, I had a classmate who was from Iowa, and I happened to remark to her how surprised I was that Iowa legalized same-sex marriage before California. She replied proudly "We're liberal in Iowa!"

...was a couple of ISU students (I teach math here), in August of 2007, in the middle of the primary campaign leading up to the 2008 Iowa Democratic Caucus.
