How do I buy a star for others without

renewing my membership?

Seems you are losing the opportunity to garner more donations by not allowing star giveaways like DU2. I am willing to donate $25.00 to give others the benefit of membership, but not by giving up half a year of my membership.

I would be giving up more than a half year of membership.

No matter. It seems there are many who are stepping up. I just feel if the old system were in place DU would get more "donations".
