how do you chat with individual posters?

so that the entire community can't see it....is there a way to do that?

If you want to chat with 1 person, click on their envelope to send them a private message. If you don't see a post by them, go to My Inbox, type in their name or part of it, search, click on the right name, and again click the yellow envelope. Hope this makes sense.
