I've been here for a while. This place kept me sane during the aughts. Well, as sane as I get.

I have learned so much from so many people here. This is a great place to find out about all kinds of issues and places and to meet and hear from people all over this nation, and others.

If you're new, this is a good place to start. It's new too! (for now.)

4. I feel badly

b/c I recently assumed, on a jury, that a newbie was a troll and said newbie posted in meta asking... why do people here think I'm a troll?

Sadly, some people do think that's a good use of their time - personally, that falls under the "life is too short" category for me.

I was so ticked about the 2000 election, I had to find others who shared my aggravation. Even so, I read here for a while before I ever got up the nerve to post.

5. I suppose I should add...

over the last year or so I've taken an interest in drug policy reform issues.

you can find a lot of information in the drug policy forum and I keep a journal that I try to mostly use for that issue.

that was a great post you had recently, with some great responses...I know I don't even have to say which one.

Even tho I've been here for a while - I took a break around 2004 for probably about a year so or.

The day I decided to check back in was the day Keph passed away. It was so odd to just say... I wonder if anyone I knew is still there... and see that news.

Since then, I've probably spent too much time here.

Oh, and some of those people I knew... many of them are still here, too.
