DU Community Help
Related: About this forumWhat is the history of DU?
I've used the search engine and have picked up a few things over the years,
but have yet to read a good post on the history on how and why DU was started.
Who started the site? Was it originally made up of party professionals working on
campaigns or was it anyone supporting the Dem party and candidates?
My understanding is after w was elected people needed a place to go to vent
so, the site was started for that reason not by the Democratic Party.
Seems some posters have been here from the beginning.
Thanks in advance for any comments.

for Bush in Bush v Gore and some people got pissed off and started DU.
