Related: About this forumThere must be a better way to delete all these Automated Messages
Rather than having to click on it and delete it.
Is there a check box that I can start checking all of the items I want to delete?
More likely than not I am stuck...

(68,937 posts)1. Start by going to your in box. Click the button that says mark all as read . . . .
. . . . . then click delete read mail. Poof! All gone.
Caution. If you have any mail you want to keep, uncheck it manually before you do the delete button.

(26,695 posts)2. Just to add: there's no box to uncheck for the ones you want to keep, but if
you open the messages that you want to retain there's a "Mark as Unread" button. That will preserve them from the "Delete all read mail". Everything that's in bold text in the inbox will survive, and every message in plain text will be erased...
