I am grantcart. I have an inferiority complex but
I have to admit that it isn't a very good one and I work at improving it but again without being redundant or repetitive its just another thing that I am not very good at. Give me time and I think I can improve it from being just run of the mill to an outstanding example of complete self degradation which, of course would ironically give me a great deal of pride and bring the whole thing to an end.
If you are new here and wonder if you will be accepted by a community of strangers then I am the low bar that you can easily step over and be assured that you will be warmly embraced, it is kind of an inverted Woody Allen formula, (I won't join any group that would accept me as a member) in that you can look no further and think, "well if that is all it takes to get accepted by the general membership here then I should find no problems at joining in."
It is addictive and you have been warned.
You will find a free and vibrant exchange of information, views and passion.
If however you get too starry eyed a perspective of this place then go to Meta Discussion and that will be quickly dissipated.
If you spend a little time searching the groups you will find more intimate settings and people who share obscure interests and hobbies with you. They will embrace you and you will exchange phone numbers and your friends will become their friends and your enemies will become their enemies. You will end up taking long trips to have idyllic picnics together and your awkward relative that everyone thought would never find true love will find a perfect match and get married. Just make sure that you don't say that grantcart sent you there or you will be shunned.
