Related: About this forumQuestion about the use of 'ignore'.
If I put someone on the ignore list, are they still capable of commenting on my posts?
Cause it seems to me if that's the case, that they can troll the heck out of me, and it'll look like I have no good reply to them.
So will ignore stop them from commenting under my comments, or am I better off simply not using ignore?

(26,117 posts)Their comments can spawn entire subthreads, too - and you won't see any of it.
And yes, they can troll you, but it's not much fun for them to troll someone who doesn't answer back.
I recommend ignoring people with whom you don't wish to interact, and don't worry about them "trolling" you - they'll look stupid after a while, or give up.

(146,218 posts)Believe me, they will look like the big losers, not you.
Use it or don't use it. It's all in what you hope to accomplish.
If you want to have a more pleasant, enlightening and civil adult experience, put the trolls on ignore and never look back.
Who care what they say to you?
The fatal error is in taking them off or signing off to see what they might have said.
If you really need to know, don't put them on ignore to begin with.
Here is the bottom line, imo. People come here to interact and when they respond to you, they want your attention.
Not giving it to them is sometimes exactly the right thing to do.
But, it's up to you.
FWIW, the owner of the site himself has frequently noted that he has some members on ignore, lol.

(10,098 posts)Hi,
I don't use the ignore feature, I just scroll on past the stuff that bothers me. That's funny about the owner having people on ignore, haha.
Peace
