DU is the first place I look for the news, & I appreciate you all being here! Sometimes it saves my sanity to read like-minded (mostly) opinions & to have intelligent commentary on what's going on. Thanks, everybody---i am very grateful for DU.

(10,095 posts)Hi Pleinair,
Glad you have decided to dive in. I do find the news links and summaries some of the best around. I am always learning new information. I lurk mostly myself, but have been trying to post a bit more lately.
Peace

(171 posts)Same here - I think I've been visiting DU since at least then, and it mightily helped me with the frustration and real anguish over the Bush debacle. Thank you for your welcome!

(204,779 posts)GD and GDP were temporarily transformed into one forum for the angry posts and the other for those looking for sympathy and comfort. DU's been my home ever since. I mainly posted in the latter.

(11 posts)Good evening.
I am Vsevolod, the American-Russian citizen of US and Russia. I have Bachelor in Environmental Science and work in two places. (more in later posts) we
I am looking for internships and positions in ES field. (Perhaps, more about it later)
I finally decided to join the DU website to discuss the environmental science related issues as well as some policy specifications.
I am worried about the foreign policy, monetary policy, and science issues.
Democratic Underground should hopefully represent a sane and like minded people to discuss the various issues.
