I just realized I have never said hello!
So a huge hello to DU even though I've been here a while. I'm from the purgatory of America, Utah and fighting for progressive reality every day here and..... it's lonely outside.
DU - Lots of fun, lots of antics, lots of good info.... and some not so good but of course plenty of drama. It is the best place on the web to get an eye full of the news from the left side and that isn't easily found.

I spend half my time here in the hosts forum, but that's my way of giving back. I've been here since DU.1 and I still learn something new here every day. Kudos for signing up as a host! There are always openings, even in the major forums, so we're very glad to have you...
I need a nice happy non-cynical place to ease my dark brooding in other localities on DU. But you probably have a handle on another reason I may have decided to tag here. Maybe I'll learn the ropes and try to better understand DU and it's constituents.
Put aside all the negative political weirdness, it really is an incredibly beautiful place. I like nothing better than hiking the Uintas, Arches and Bryce Canyon!
