how do I "mark a thread"

I found the button to mark a thread, but cannot figure out how to indicate which thread I want to mark.

1. What do you mean "mark" it.

You can mark "all read" in any group of forum.

2. how do I mark all read?can I mark it for a thread, not a forum? will that mean

that when I return, I will see which posts have been made since my last visit?

3. You can't mark a single thread, just a group or forum.

You have two ways of marking. You can mark so that everything that has happened since you mark will show up yellow next time you open it. You can mark so that the last ten responses in every thread show up the next time you visit.

When you "mark as read" the whole forum or group, it will effect all of the threads in the forum or group.

5. You can still bookmark a thread.

That is different than "marking" a group.
