Social Security Disability "Review"

My husband was approved for disability in 2011 for a bone-on-bone knee. He had the knee replaced in 2014. It's better, but there's no way he could go back to work in the heavy construction industry. He's been working part-time at a grocery store. He's 63.

We filled out the review papers about 3 months ago, but haven't heard anything back from them, and phone calls to the local office where we sent the papers are ignored. Anyone know how long a review takes? Thanks

1. It took me 6 months in CA. That was 4 years ago.

3. if you have not gotten a lawyer, getone

they are literally the only thing that the ss fear and respect.

7. The attorney he used to help him get SS said

to go through the review, be honest on the paperwork. If there was a problem, then contact them. They said they can't fill out the paperwork for him.

4. Sometimes it helps to go to the office itself.

I know it can be a pain to do that but when they have to talk to you face to face and look up info at that time it tends to sometimes push them.
