Donald Trump on guns

It looks like Donald Trump is the Republican Party's presumptive nominee, so it's important for us to take a moment to look specifically at his record and statements on gun violence prevention.

They are not very encouraging.

Donald Trump opposes background checks and said he would reverse President Obama's executive order that narrows loopholes in our laws to make it harder for criminals to buy guns without a background check.

Trump is on the record stating he would "get rid of gun free zones on schools" and believes in the discredited line of thinking that if more people had guns in Paris and San Bernardino, they could have prevented the tragic terrorist attacks that happened in the past year.

Trump's right-wing, gun lobby views look a lot like some we see on DU on a daily basis, don't they?
