Any Vermonters here? I'm looking for more information about the Burlington
situation. When I was recently in Montreal, I got a local Burlington TV station in my hotel room and saw that the city council was trying to get some gun safety regulations in place. When I Googled it, I got a lot of pro gun sites. I'd really like to know more. Vermont has always been such a stronghold on gun rights, but that might be changing.

Probably weak 'gun regs' they would enact, CY, maybe like no guns in govt bldgs on sundays cause only cleanup crews are working. Some gun regs are so weak it's hard to see how the pro gun alternative would have been allowed in the first place.
Some catch22's - if not illegal then legal - so you gots to put it in writing or else it gets done sooner or later - like that whackjob after newtown who walked the streets with a bushmaster AR15 to exercise his alleged 2ndA rights.
I wouldn't expect much from vermont in the way of gun control as in GC states; actually there isn't as much need for GC since bluedog state vermont (~700,000 pop) is rural & the biggest city is burlington with about 40,000 which would fit in a square mile of new york city with it's 7 million.
Like a billiard table, if only two balls on it & one gets rolled odds of hitting the other ball are slim, but put 25 balls on it & odds of NOT hitting another ball are slim - same with altercations which might provoke violent crime situations, billiard ball density equates with population density.
