launches 6 figure ad campaign against permissive open carry national policy of the grocery store giant...

That is right, some NRA types even on this very site and forum believe that going to the store for a jug of milk requires good citizens to be on the watch out for open carry guys in the yogurt aisle who might not be open carry patriots at all. They could be actual killers and insane people out to cause mayhem.

How to tell the difference merely requires "situational awareness", reading body language, judging character as you stand in the Express lane with your 2 litre jug and do a situational analysis of the open carry patriot/insane gun killer who is now out of sight in the bread and donuts aisle.

Milk or mad dash to the exit, it is all about awareness in your "situation".

A situation Kroger puts you in every day.

Truly, NRA types live in fear, they are truly, deeply and genuinely perplexed and puzzled as to why we all, liberals and conservatives and independents alike, why we all do not all want to live in that same fear.

They are lonely, I think.

Upon spying these two in my local eatery I would not know whether to laugh, cry or just run.

1. You walk into the store openly carrying a gun I drop what I am carrying and leave.

That's situation awareness.
But better would be a gunner being aware that people are afraid of them and out of respect for other people just don't carry a gun into the store. Or is that too much to ask?

13. I hear you, but the majority of gun owners believe this is just the price

we must pay for them to have access to more weapons, in more places. The guy that has a gun or two for hunting and/or home protection is not my concern. Anything more than that, should be a concern.

Eating at a restaurant? Walk out without paying the bill, how do you know the guy not a killer, why should me and my family wait around to find out....until the guy with a rifle 3 feet long and a string of ammo opens fire?

I have to sip my wine while keeping an eye out for the gun guy asking for a table?

Truthfully, the only thing you can get a Kroger that is not available elsewhere is their 3 flavor popsicles. That's not worth supporting them.

Any non-law enforcement individual who openly carries a gun into a public place is a person who really, really, really wants to use that firearm against another human being. Don't take chances with your life or the lives of your loved ones. Leave the establishment---then follow up with calls to the local manager of the place and the national office, explaining in no uncertain terms why you felt compelled to leave, why you'll never come back, and that you are advising other people to do likewise. It's time to stop screwing around with these dipshits.
