Elizabeth Warren praises Bernie Sanders’ prez bid

This OP will be linked to in the Sanders Group.

Warning: the Boston Herald leans heavily right. However, I don't think it's sleazy enough to doctor a video of Warren speaking; and the story includes such a video.

Saturday, May 2, 2015

Bay State U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren welcomed fellow liberal from the north, Vermont U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders, into the presidential sweepstakes yesterday, even as she continues to resist efforts to draft her into the race.

“I’m glad to see him get out there and give his version of what leadership in this country should be,” Warren said while at Middlesex Community College in Lowell yesterday. “I think that Bernie Sanders is going to play out a vision for America and that it is important for people to hear what he has to say.”

Warren has repeatedly said she will not run for president, despite a nationwide campaign urging her to throw her hat in the ring. Sanders shares many of Warren’s causes, such as breaking up big Wall Street banks, and many see him as the party’s only real chance to force Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton to tackle more liberal issues.

Everyone who knows anything knows that Warren has totally endorsed Our Next President, not the Krabby Kommie.

Besides, firebaggers are way too far right for my tastes.

Saying something along the lines of what she said here regarding Bernie is great, and I hope she sticks to that throughout the Primary. Unless she endorses Sanders.

I can't imagine the pressure that EW will receive from Hillary's camp and Big Business to endorse HRC. I hope she doesn't disappoint many of us!

I think she's still be a far better candidate in terms of campaigning, but I think either of them would govern basically the same.

were Bernie to win, would be to have Warren as Senate Majority Leader. I know there is no guarantee that Democrats will win control of the Senate...BUT logic tells me that if the mood of the country is such that Bernie prevails, he would almost assuredly have the coattails to bring the Senate into the "D" column; probably the house too. A like minded ally like Warren in control of the Senate would be a far, far more powerful team than Warren as his VP. IMO anyway, for what it's worth.

Not a fan of "still waiting," though, so don't be surprised if I ignore it in the future.

I meant Jennings wasted space. I didn't mean anything about your posting the quote instead of a ink.
