Not sure, but I know I never did like the ending of that movie.

Not because of the death, I'm fine with that, but rather the way his daughter Janie reacts, or rather doesn't react, to her father being shot dead in the kitchen with a gaping head wound. She seems transfixed by the whole thing in the same way the weird neighbor kid with the camera is when seeing the "beauty" around him. Still love Spacey's performance, and even Annette Benning's, even though her character is really two-dimensional.
