1. I watched The Paper Chase right before my first class in law school.

John Houseman scared the crap out of me.

2. My first class in law school was contracts. The professor hated the phrase "meeting of the minds."

He brought a blender into class on the first day. He threw some pig brains and some calf brains into the blender, hit frappé, and said, “That’s the only meeting of the minds I want to hear of in this class.

Compared to him, Professor Kingsfield was a breeze.

The joke was that we hoped the show would get cancelled before we did.

4. That film was on TCM a few days ago....

I rewatched it. I never have been able to figure out what the hell the two lead actors saw in each other. I found them both to be self absorbed, immature individuals who were total bores. Maybe that is what brought them together.
