"I love you to death"...Kevin Kline, Tracey Ullman, River Phoenix, and Keanu Reeves.

58% tomatoes, 62% popcornmeter.....in the mo ie I just saw photos on the wall of John F Kennedy, Pope John Paul, Jesus, The Mother Mary, and Frank Sinatra. 😂 🤣 😂. A very strict Roman Catholic couple with 2 kids and divorce is out of the question......so??? Kill the spouse. Anyway, I wonder if we’ll EVER see a movie with a picture of the orange piece of shit on the wall??? Oh, and this movie is based on a true story. Am watching on DVR just to stay awake until Jimmy Kimmel in on. I’m usually in bed a hour and a half before he comes on. But you know it baby.....i’m staying awake to watch him LIVE. 🥰 🥰 🥰

Crazy like "Divorce Italian Style"

And lover of fine literature,
even if I am not an Inglish majer!

Terence, This is Stupid Stuff
Alfred Edward Housman

yadda yadda ...

There was a king reigned in the East:
There, when kings will sit to feast,
They get their fill before they think
With poisoned meat and poisoned drink.
He gathered all the springs to birth
From the many-venomed earth;
First a little, thence to more,
He sampled all her killing store;
And easy, smiling, seasoned sound,
Sate the king when healths went round.
They put arsenic in his meat
And stared aghast to watch him eat;
They poured strychnine in his cup
And shook to see him drink it up:
They shook, they stared as white's their shirt:
Them it was their poison hurt.
--I tell the tale that I heard told.
Mithridates, he died old.

And

“Holding onto anger is like drinking poison and expecting the other person to die.”
Attributed to the Buddha.

Kevin Kline's character delivered a line to that effect. It has stuck with me since I watched the movie over twenty-five years ago.

Also, I like his understatement, "It was not the best way to become acquainted."

Grit City, the City of Destiny.

I was stationed in Germany when I first saw the movie, and it was so good to see my home up there on screen.
