From a time when the networks gave us quality tv instead of one asinine game show and reality show after another. Think CBS would produce something like this today?

It was only one year later February of 1950 when McCarthy suddenly rose to fame with his poison propaganda of "Communists in the State Department."
All of this a few short years after World War II, and I think the nation needed counseling then.
Perhaps that's why the play has such profound psychological resonance 76 years later?
