On edit. He has a few moments beyond that. And he falls into the movie star category more often than not. But I think he's better than most of the material he's been given.

10's for me are Hopkins, O'Toole, Newman, Brando...

As a human being, I'm down in the negative numbers with you.

What he did to abandon his daughter is disgusting.

He is like Nick Cage in a way. Some really good films, with a lot of junk in between

Born on the 4th, Magnolia, Interview, even Rain Man-which I find really slow, but good. There is another sci-fu movie with Emily Blunt where he keeps living the same day over and over. I thought that was good. A few good men is ok. Nicholson's famous lime is almost the whole movie imo.

But the Mission Impossible movies, Jack Reacher are just not my thing. Their popularity clearly shows I know nothing however.

I say solid 6.

Risky Business, Rain Man, Eyes Wide Shut (only because I love Kubrick), Oblivion and Edge of Tomorrow come to mind. But, there's a lot of dreck in between, and I bet he'd be damn near insufferable in person.

And, I'll steady myself for the resulting flaming, but Top Gun has to be, without a doubt, one of the most overrated movies in the history of movies.
