A sports movie that Hollywood should absolutely remake

Take your favorite sports hero in any sport: Tom Brady, Caitlin Clark, Mike Trout, Wayne Gretsky...anyone who attained a peak of excellence at their sport.

Now, just as they attain major success in their sport, the car their driving gets hit head on by a bus. Your sports hero suffers a double fracture of the pelvis, a fractured ankle, a fractured collarbone and near fatal blood clots. The blood clots are so bad in the legs that doctors permanently tie off the vena cava...The huge vein that carries blood from the legs back to the heart. Your sports hero will never again walk without pain.

In addition, your sports hero hit their head against the dash board and as a result, in the coming years, the retina in the left eye will detach.

Does your sports hero come back to attain their previous excellence in sport? Probably not. How about attaining an even higher excellence than before?

Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the sports movie Hollywood should absolutely remake: Follow The Sun, The Ben Hogan story, starring Lucas Black as Ben Hogan and Emma Stone as his wife Valerie. Major tournaments won by Hogan before the crash:3 Major tournaments won by Hogan after the crash:6 including 3 in one year.

One more thing. A split second before the bus hit his Cadillac, Hogan threw his body across the front seat to try to save his wife.

the accident...and at an older age he's only won one major since the accident.

I think his time winning tournaments is over, as he can't really walk four days now as the PGA events require. He may win on the senior tour where they ride in carts and only play three days.

Haven't heard much of that tour lately. Is it still around?

I think Hogan really had a tougher comeback as in those days he was competing against Byron Nelson and Sam Snead...neither of them were pushovers.
