Those of you in SE Ohio will find this announcement of interest:

The Jackson County Chapter of the Ohio Genealogical Society will meet
Saturday, July 12, 2014 at the Jackson City Library at 10:30 a.m. in the
Potter Room. Wehyehpihehrsehwah or better known as Ron Hatten, a
Shawnee storyteller will be our guest speaker honoring his Shawnee
culture. Ron grew up in Jackson with his grandparents where only the
Shawnee language was spoken. A short business meeting will follow.
Everyone is welcome to attend.

Kick in to the DU tip jar?

This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.

As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.

Tell me more...
