Badgers (women) outlast No. 24 Nebraska in upset win
MADISON, Wis. - The Wisconsin women's basketball team (13-7, 5-4 B1G) earned their second victory against a ranked opponent on the year, downing No. 24 Nebraska (14-5, 3-5 B1G) 63-60 in a nail-biter at the Kohl Center on Wednesday night.
Gift Uchenna paced the Badgers with her third double-double of the season, tallying a season-high 22 points to pair with 14 reboundsshooting 10-of-17 from the field. Kyrah Daniels chipped in 19 points and Ronnie Porter added 10 to round out the top scorers for UW in their
Uchenna, who eclipsed the 500-rebound mark in her career with a pair in the first quarter, provided the spark for the Badgers with back-to-back baskets to get the scoring started.
Wisconsin and the Cornhuskers found themselves in a back-and-forth affair early on, as a two-point basket from Laci Steele put the Badgers up 17-15 at the end of the first frame.
