Now watching Hayes and Kornacki continue the pro-Hillary, anti-Bernie crap that has today

dominated MSNBC, except for the Flint tragedy.

This is inexcusable and as undemocratic as it gets. MSNBC earned low ratings. Now, it's earning no ratings. Watch Tom Hartman, Ed Schultz and Cenk.

In part, both media and politicians prosper most that way. In part, that is unfortunately a requirement of access by journalists to politicians. That is one of many things in this country that should not be, but nonetheless is.

However, I want to know what they are up to during this primary. As one Sanders Group member put it, "Thanks for watching, so we don't have to."

I don't think it was ever fair and balanced. During the earlier Bush years, it was essentially RW and pro Bush: Don Imus in the Morning, Scarborough Country, Tucker Carlson, and so on. As Bush's approval numbers tanked, MSNBC began morphing into an essentially establishment Democratic station. I think the videos of Cenk speaking to this after MSNBC took his show away are still on YouTube. Throughout, MSNBC made no pretense of objectivity of any kind. When Obama was the establishment candidate, MSNBC was in the tank for Obama. While it was not awful to Hillary, it did her no favors. Now, Hillary is the establishment candidate and they started by all but ignoring Bernie and have morphed into hit jobs every day throughout the day. It's disgraceful.

You know, just boring news delivering information about issues. Because that's what news is; it's supposed to be boring.
It's not supposed to be looking for the next train wreck (e.g. Trump) for ratings, or cramming bullshit down our throats.
MSM is done. At this point, they're all a propaganda for millionnaires and billionnaires.

I don't know if news has to be boring, either. Pushing the same agenda and beating the same stories to death all day long is boring, though. That's what MSNBC does. Show after show covers the same stories, with the same slant.

This is not only Hayes, but was pervasive throughout MSNBC. I think Morning Joe has dropped them because Halperin has said over and over on that show that there is no predicting what is going on in the Democratic primaries until the early primaries are over.

However, Hayes and O'Donnell and others still beat the inevitability of Hillary into every report on Bernie or the primary.

Thu Jan 28, 2016, 06:05 AM

... nearly every day, the news should report that.

When national polls come out with her winning by 20+ points this late in the game, they should report that.

When Nate Silver gives her about a 76% chance of winning in Iowa, one of Senator Sanders' best demographic states, they should report it.

When Secretary Clinton wins a debate or acts Presidential during a townhall, they should report that too.

When leading experts in their field come out for Secretary Clinton's plans over Senator Sanders' plans, they should report that.

The big news for Senator Sanders the last couple weeks have only been polls and one endorsement by move.on. They reported those, right?

I agree they shouldn't be reporting so much Trump.

Expecting that part of the problem Bernie is running against to be fair, is the equivalent of expecting a sociopath to feel sympathy for his fellow human beings. I got over expecting anything but propaganda from our national propaganda machine.

That is part of what must be changed when we get a government that represents the people again, restore the airwaves to the people.

I cannot possibly be disappointed in what is nothing more than the propaganda arm of oligarchs.

MSNBC is among the worst. After Keith Olberman left, they were done.

watch Michael Moore on Lawrence O'Donnell. For the first 20 minutes, maybe more, couldn't take it so I left and went to do some stuff, O'Donnell talked about Donald Trump. I think he said 'Donald Trump' about 200 times. I missed the beginning of MM's segment because I just can't TAKE the obvious distractions participated in by our so-called 'progressives' on MSNBC.

All I can say is thank the gods for the internet and for some of the foreign media where i get to see our real journalists, who will never be seen on the Corp Media.

I get angry just thinking about it. I get angry when I go to Parisan forums, like this one, which I do less and less for the same reasons.

I believe all this, the Corp Media, partisan forums like this, are going to be thing of the past. No young person I know are on forums like this or listen to the Corp media.

What does it say that the largest registered voting bloc now is Independent? Future political blogs will not be partisan imo. They will simply be people who care about this country, not cult like groups who spend their time hating anyone who doesn't agree with them.

The only way to diminish the power of the Corp media is to boycott it. And I think considering their ratings, and inability to influence voters, see Bernie, anymore, that is actually happening

Social Media is where people are, where they get their news. I love it that morons like Chuck Todd is 'puzzled' by Bernie's success. After all he did his job to push the Corp candidates.

That shrinking bubble they live in blinds them I guess.

I'm not sure because the largest bloc registered voters in Massachusetts has long been "unenrolled," our version of independent; and Massachusetts is very Democratic.

Divide and conquer" and "divide and rule" have been strategies of rulers for millennia. As this primary reflects, division has been elevated to an art form (albeit performance art). The 99% have been carefully divided from each other, by race, by politics, etc. I hope for our sakes that we do find ways to come together because it is us against the plutocrats and us against us obscures that, to say the least.
